5 ways with Caramelised Balsamic vinegar

If the only time you think of pulling the bottle of balsamic out of the cupboard is when it's time to make a salad, you're missing out… Here’s 5 ways its presence will perk up your everyday cooking.

  1. Swirl into soup

Balsamic vinegar is an excellent addition to soups, stews, and sauces. Add a splash at the end of cooking, swirl into a favorite soup after ladling it into bowls, or pour some into a stew to enrich its flavour.

  1. Reduced to a Syrup

In a small saucepan over low heat, reduce the balsamic vinegar until it becomes thick and syrupy, then remove from the heat and cool. Use it to drizzle over roasted vegetables (like brussels sprouts) or meat.

Balsamic vinegar adds acidity and light floral flavours to a variety of cocktails and  non-alcoholic drinks. We like it best paired with bourbon, rum, or lemonade.
